Harry Hickey, CFO/COO, Community Services, Inc. and Principal, H2 Consulting
Harry has multiple years of experience in various industries and organizations within the areas of accounting, finance, audit, tax, financial planning, analysis, budgeting, and human resources. He is currently the CFO/COO for Community Services, Inc. and the Principal for H2 Consulting, which provides accounting and tax services in the DFW area. Harry also served two terms as the audit chairman on the Garland City Council, which enabled him to get a firsthand look at how city government truly operates. In addition to volunteering for the military’s Selective Service Board and the city of McKinney’s Housing Finance Corporation, he is the Vice President of his homeowner’s association.
Harry holds an undergraduate degree in Accounting from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches and has a Master of Science degree in Accountancy from the University of Phoenix.
Tom Jewell, Founder and Owner, LTJ Financial Consulting
With more than 35 years of business leadership experience, Tom provides CFO and controller advisory services to middle market companies. His clients have ranged from retail, staffing, construction, and software organizations to start-ups seeking funding. As an FDIC approved consultant, Tom has also assisted failed banking institutions and provided financial leadership to divisional units of RadioShack, Verizon, and Kentucky Fried Chicken.
Carrie May, CFO/Director of Operations, GDP Advisors, LLC
With more than 20 years of financial experience in the insurance, non profit, construction, real estate development, and technology industries, Carrie serves as CFO/Director of Operations for GDP Advisors, LLC, where she partners with the executive team to oversee corporate planning, operations development, financial information reporting, marketing, and overall internal and external company relations. Her recent article “Program Development: Time to Create Movement in the Industry” was featured in the June, 2016 edition of Insurance Journal. Prior to joining GDP Advisors, Carrie worked as a controller for both the outsourced financial services for space and the Dallas Symphony Orchestra.
She holds a B.A. in Accounting from Texas Woman’s University.
Michael Parrish, VP/Relationship Manager-Business Banking, Bank of America Merrill Lynch
As VP/Relationship Manager of Business Banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Michael leads the north Texas team of specialists, providing strategic advice and financial solutions to help clients grow and manage their businesses efficiently. Prior, he served as Treasury Solutions Officer in the oil & gas and power utility sectors, managing an international portfolio of large corporate clients and functioning as a single point of contact for all global transactional banking services Michael joined Bank of America in 2007 as a Treasury Analyst for the Global Industrials group, focusing on companies in the manufacturing, engineering, and logistics industry verticals.
Carla Phillips, CFO
With more than 20 years of financial and management experience, Carla is an operationally focused middle-market business leader who provides interim and fractional CFO and management advisory services to start-up and emerging companies in a variety of industries. Previously, she was the CFO of London Broadcasting Company and also held a variety of corporate and divisional positions with several companies including ABC Radio Networks, Sinclair Broadcast Group, Belo, CBS, Jefferson-Pilot, and Clear Channel. In addition to her broadcasting experience, she has worked in mortgage banking, financial services, and public accounting.
Carla has a BBA in Accounting from Tarleton State University and is active in various organizations including Financial Executives International, National Association of Corporate Directors, the Institute for Excellence in Corporate Governance, and the Association for Corporate Growth.
Jim Schuchard, Managing Partner, Tatum/Randstad Professionals
Jim has been with Tatum for more than six years, serving as a company leader in the Dallas and Houston areas. His responsibilities include market development and partner recruitment, as well as client relationship management and satisfaction. As a senior level executive with more than 35 years of operations, financial, and business development experience within the information technology and management consulting industries, he has led numerous engagements for domestic and international clients. His areas of expertise include business expansion, acquisitions, divestitures, organizational design, performance implementation, and risk management.
Jim holds a BBA and an MBA from Texas Tech University.
Lisa Stensgard, BDS Director, BDO LLC
With more than 20 years of experience in business development and consulting, Lisa currently works at BDO supporting the natural resources and real estate industry groups in north Texas. She has also held prior positions at Steam Realty and Shell Oil Company and currently serves as President of the Dallas/Ft. Worth Turnaround Management Association.
Lisa holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Logistics and Marketing from the University of Colorado and an MBA in Finance from Pepperdine University.
