As CFO of The Recon Group, Melissa creates organizational infrastructure in its HR, Operations, and Finance and Accounting divisions while sustaining organizational growth through technology and maintaining company culture and vision. With 16 years of experience in management, finance, accounting, and human resources, she has also worked at World Fuel Services, Live Nation, and MTN Satellite Communications.
A Florida CPA, Melissa holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Florida International University and a Master’s degree in Accounting from Nova Southeastern University.

Arthur Levine, CFO, Sensus Healthcare
Arthur has held senior finance roles in public and private companies in many industry sectors, including medical diagnostics, real estate, and technology. Most recently, he served as Chief Accounting Officer of Trade Street Residential—a REIT—and played a key role in its IPO. He was also the Chief Financial Officer of IVAX Diagnostics, a publicly traded in-vitro diagnostics company, and worked at Ernst & Young, both in the United States and abroad.
Arthur is a graduate of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and is a Certified Public Accountant.
With more than 25 years of financial, operational, and entrepreneurial experience, Ricardo has worked for Fortune 500 and 100 companies, including the largest public company in Florida. He has managed operations in Latin America, Europe, and Asia Pacific and has spent a significant amount of time redesigning operations in Mexico and Argentina.
His areas of expertise include strategic planning, business restructuring, change management, expense reduction, operational improvements, development and implementation of Key Performance Indicators, financial planning and analysis, budgeting, cash forecasting, treasury and risk management, international and start-up operations, raising capital, and exit strategies. In addition, he is an active member of the Beacon Council, the Miami Finance Forum, the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce, and the South Florida Executive Roundtable.
Along with an active CPA license, Ricardo holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology and an MBA from Cal Poly State University.
Michelle Meehan, MM Consulting Solutions, LLC
As the president of MM Consulting Solutions, LLC, Michelle strives to save clients time and money by enabling accurate and efficient operations through process improvement, utilization of technology, and administration of custom training programs. In addition to MM Consulting Solutions, she has 23 years of experience in the role of Controller/CFO for real estate management and development companies. She spent most of her career at RP Management, where, as its first employee, she created, documented, and implemented all of the company’s processes and procedures and was instrumental in its growth and team building. She also served as an Adjunct Professor at Widener University in Chester, Pennsylvania, educating students in the field of Accounting Information Systems. She is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and actively participates in a number of professional organizations, including the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) and the Financial Executives Networking Group (FENG).
Michelle holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Master of Science degree in Accounting Information Systems from Widener University.
Jim Ray, Senior Vice President, Fifth Third Bank
Jim is a Senior Vice President and wholesale banking executive for the South Florida affiliate of Fifth Third Bank, covering Collier, Lee, Charlotte, Sarasota, Manatee, Miami Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties. He is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati and an eight year veteran of the United States Army.
Tim Rubin, Director of Client Services, Kaufman Rossin
Tim joined Kaufman Rossin in 2011 and leads client services efforts in Broward County. He focuses on providing audit and review services in a variety of industries including healthcare, technology, retail, manufacturing and distribution, construction, and real estate development.
As a professional service provider in the tri-county area since 1992, Tim specializes in helping entrepreneurial businesses and closely-held middle market companies with financial reporting, internal control evaluations, due diligence and agreed-upon procedures projects, forensic accounting, and attestation/audit services. He is currently on the board for Junior Achievement of South Florida and chairs the development committee. He has also served as Treasurer for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Broward County.
Tim is a Certified Public Accountant in Florida and Georgia and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Florida International University.
Michael Samach, Principal, Leading Edge Financial Consulting, LLC
A seasoned financial and accounting professional with more than 25 years of experience, Michael has served as Chief Financial Officer in middle market and emerging companies, demonstrating success in the areas of corporate strategic planning, team motivation, acquisitions integration, shared service platforms, and metrics and performance development. His experience includes interim to long term management, acquisition due diligence and integration, turnaround implementation, product rationalization, gross margin profitability, contract negotiation, debt procurement, and debt restructuring.
A licensed Florida CPA and a Certified Information Technology Professional, Michael holds an MBA from the University of Miami and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Florida State University.
David C. Scileppi, Gunster
David concentrates his practice in the areas of securities, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, banking and finance, and general corporate law. He has extensive experience in securities matters and has taken companies public as an attorney and as an auditor at KPMG LLP. David serves on the Securities Law Committee of the Society of Corporate Secretaries & Governance Professionals. He speaks regularly at conferences and is frequently quoted in the press on securities law issues.
David holds a B.B.A. in Accounting from Hofstra University, as well a J.D. and an M.A. in Mass Communication from the University of Florida.
Carlos Segrera, President and CEO, Segrera Associates
The founder of Segrera Associates, Carlos drives the growth of a variety of companies, ranging from entrepreneurial to Fortune 500. Following a career at KPMG, he was a partner at an accounting and finance recruiting firm and, later, when it was sold to a large privately held staffing company, he became the managing partner for south Florida.
Carlos is a CPA and a graduate of the University of Miami. In addition, he sits on the board of the YMCA of Greater Miami and is involved with the Association of Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting (ALPFA), the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, and the Beacon Council.
Robert Mohr, Account Manager, Adaptive Insights
As Regional Account Manager for Adaptive Insights, Robert helps mid-size and enterprise finance teams transform their budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and BI processes, enabling them to develop and execute plans and strategies that accelerate their business growth and drive success.
Joe Ziegler, CFO, Matrix Health Group
A CFO with extensive experience with small and middle market owned companies, Joe serves as strategic partner to the CEO, Board of Directors, and ownership group. He is effective in developing relationships with banks, auditors, key vendors, business units, and senior management and works well with cross functional teams to streamline processes and drive margin improvements.
