Michael Bayer, CFO, iZotope, Inc.

Michael_Bayer_2-255338-edited.jpgMichael has more than 20 years of expertise in venture-backed technology companies, with a focus on finance, operations, and business development . He currently serves as the CFO for iZotope, a provider of software and solutions for the audio industry. Michael began his career as a financial and investment consultant at BDO Seidman and has held CFO roles at a number of companies including MotherNature.com, LightChip, and Revivio. In addition, he is the co-founder of RPM Communications, where he led the launch of a 100,000-user mobile social network.

A chartered financial analyst (CFA), Michael holds an MBA from Cornell University and a Bachelor of Science degree from Babson College. 

Brian Beaupre, Senior Financial Analyst, Ipswitch, Inc

bbeaupre2.pngBrian is a Senior Financial Analyst at Ipswitch, Inc., where he is responsible for supporting the Network Management division.  Prior to joining Ipswitch, Brian served in a similar role at NetSuite, managing the company's revenue, forecasting, and reporting.  In 2006, Brian joined OpenAir, Inc., one of the fastest-growing SaaS start-ups.  As Financial Analyst, he oversaw all financial reporting and back-office operations until the company's 2008 acquisition by NetSuite.  He has also worked in fund accounting for BNY Mellon and media sales for CBS Radio.

Brian received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from The College of the Holy Cross and is currently studying for his MBA at Boston College's Carroll School of Management. 

Haley Bonenfant, Account Executive, NetSuite

She has been working with venture backed, fast growing start-ups in and around Boston for the past three years. Haley specializes in helping rapidly growing tech companies optimize their business management processes through NetSuite’s integrated platform for accounting, revenue recognition, global financial management, and billing automation. She is very involved in the Boston tech community, facilitating, hosting, and participating in many local industry events.

Haley holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations from Connecticut College.

Sean Bridgeo, CFO, NaviNet

James Cohane, Director, Venture Capital Practice, KPMG LLP

James is a Director in KPMG’s Venture Capital practice in Cambridge, where he is responsible for establishing relationships with vc-backed tech and life sciences companies.  Prior to joining KPMG, he spent 10 years in leadership roles at Axial, InsightSquared, and Gerson Lehrman Group.  He has also worked as an investment banker at Broadview and as a consultant at Cambridge Associates.

James earned his MBA at Columbia and his Bachelor of Arts degree from Harvard.

Seana Droggitis, Senior Director of Finance, Philips Healthcare

253a0e3Seana is Senior Director of Finance for the Patient Care & Clinical Informatics division of Philips Healthcare, where she is responsible for worldwide operations finance.  She has more than 18 years of experience working for several large corporations including Philips, Polaroid, and Champion International Paper.  

Seana holds an MBA from Babson College and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in Accounting, from the University of Maine.

Amanda Duguay, Principal Finance Business Partner, PAREXEL International,


Amanda serves as the Principal Finance Business Partner for the Access Business unit at PAREXEL International, where she holds overall controllership responsibility for the Pharmacovigilance division and is the trusted business advisor to the Corporate VP of Operations.  In addition to working in a similar role within the PAREXEL Consulting Business unit, she has led multiple financial acquisition integrations companywide and has served as a change agent for ongoing finance transformation efforts.  Amanda has also partnered with numerous cross-functional global teams on high profile strategic initiatives.   Prior to joining PAREXEL in 2013, she spent three years at PwC, providing assurance and audit services to clients in the technology and software industries.  She has also held research and product development roles in various biotech start-up companies.

Amanda is a Certified Public Accountant with a Master of Science degree in Accountancy from Bentley University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Bioscience & Technology from the University of New Hampshire..

Joseph Falcao, CFO, Microline Surgical

Joseph Falcao, VP, iBasisWith an extensive international and operational background in Fortune 500 start-ups and private companies, Joseph currently serves as the CFO of Microline Surgical and is passionate about  international business and creating results through strong teams.  Prior to joining Microline Surgical, he was the CFO of McCue Corporation, VP of Finance for iBasis, Corporate Controller at Invensys, and Director of Finance at Dunkin Brands.  He also completed several ex-pat assignments at Cabot Corporation in Brazil, Belgium, and Malaysia and has conducted business in many other countries including the UK, Holland, Spain, Japan, India, Australia, Argentina, Mexico, and Canada.

A citizen of the United States, Brazil, and Europe, Joseph is a board member of the MIT Sloan CFO Summit, as well as the VP of Membership for International Executive Resource Group and the co-founded of “Brazil-Today", a professional networking platform connecting Boston and Brazil.

Julius Gloeckner, Director of Finance, Keystone Strategy

In addition to leading the accounting and finance team at Keystone, he is responsible for system implementation, KPI reviews, and collaborating with the partners and directors on strategic initiatives for business growth. Prior to Keystone, he worked in the Enterprise Risk Services division of Deloitte & Touche. 

Julius is a Certified Public Accountant, a Certified Internal Auditor, and a Certified Fraud Examiner and he holds an MBA from Louisiana State University.

Michaela Goodwin, VP of Finance, Lola

With more than fifteen years of experience in financial services, Michaela serves as the VP of Finance at Lola.  Previously, she was responsible for all financial and administrative functions at ClickSquared and spent seven years in the venture capital/private equity industry in a variety of roles, including controller, M&A deal structuring, and portfolio management. Michaela began her career at Arthur Andersen, earning her CPA while servicing clients in the private equity and technology sectors. Michaela enjoys building financial and operational infrastructure to support the growth of mid-market companies. She believes in a culture of transparency and focuses on key business metrics to drive company value.

Michaela has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy from Bentley College and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Debra Kennedy, Director of Executive Education, Bentley University

Debra Kennedy, Director, Executive Education, Bentley UniversityDebra is the Director of Executive Education for Bentley University, responsible for connecting companies with expert faculty for individual and custom management development programming.  Prior to Bentley, she was worked in the utility industry, managing treasury and finance functions for many years before taking a role as a general manager in charge of all marketing and sales efforts in the Boston region.  Her efforts with the CFO Leadership Council and Bentley provide an excellent partnership to foster connections with faculty, administration, and finance and accounting groups.

Daphne Kuo, CFO, Basis Technology Corporation

Daphne KuoDaphne oversees the finance and accounting operations at Basis Technology Corporation and provides overall financial vision for the company. She has extensive experience working with senior executives to grow revenue, achieve strategic objectives, and improve the bottom-line in the technology, financial services,  and consumer products industries. Prior to Basis Technology, Daphne held various financial management positions at Fidelity Investments, iCAST Corporation, and Toshiba America Information Systems.

A licensed CPA, she holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from National Taiwan University and an MBA from the University of Michigan.

John Landers, Vice President, Robert Half Management Resources

John is a Vice President at Robert Half and began his staffing career in New York.  He has held numerous positions over the past 15 years and now oversees Robert Half’s Burlington,  Massachusetts operations. In this role, John provides day to day oversight and direction to Accountemps, Accountemps SPS, Officeteam, and Management Resources, as well as the company's finance and accounting divisions. Prior to this role John led the growth and strategic direction of Robert Half’s Financial Services businesses in New York and Boston. 

Bill Lemos, Resident Sales Director, Aon

Bill_Lemos-895444-edited.jpgAn accomplished industry veteran, Bill has significant experience managing large real estate development portfolios and is well known in the private equity industry. As Resident Sales Director and a member of the biotech team at Aon, he leads sales and marketing efforts and specializes in mergers and acquisition insurance.  In his prior position as Vice President of Global Property at Zurich, Bill consistently led teams which performed at the highest levels and were the fastest growing business units in New England and upstate New York.  He also worked for a global broker, where he was a Construction Practice Leader and top producer.  Bill began his insurance career as a Construction Producer at Sheppard Riley Coughlin.

He is a graduate of Hobart College and a licensed property and casualty broker.

Rachael McCarthy, CFO, CloudLock


As the Chief Financial Officer of Cloudlock, Rachael is responsible for overseeing and managing the company’s finance and accounting functions, as well as relationships with the banking and investment community.

Before joining Cloudlock, she was the Chief Financial Officer of Axeda Corporation, a pioneer in the development of solutions to securely connect machines and sensors to the cloud.  Rachael also has more than 20 years of experience working as a senior executive in fast growing software and SaaS companies and has held various financial, legal, and business roles.  She served as General Counsel to two software companies, Unica Corporation and Restrac/WebHire, Inc.,and worked with them from their very early stages through their initial public offerings.

Rachael holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of Delaware, and a JD and LLM in Taxation from Boston University School of Law.

Bill Peiffer, Sales Manager, Radius Worldwide

billpeiffer-1.jpgAs a senior member of the Radius sales team, Bill is responsible for creating brand awareness, identifying market opportunities, driving P&L growth, and providing strategic direction for the New England Market.  He has served as a trusted adviser to hundreds of companies and helped them to navigate the complexities of international operations.  Bill began his career in accounting and finance, working for such companies as Legg Mason and CitiFinancial, before becoming a lead consultant for Jefferson Wells.   He uses his diverse background to provide clients with a pragmatic approach to simplify their international expansion.

Kimberly Post, CFO, Beacon Partners

Kimberly Post, Controller, Beacon PartnersA CPA with more than thirteen years of financial and accounting experience, Kimberly leads the financial operations at Beacon Partners. Previously, she worked at a public accounting firm, which provided exposure to various industries including professional services, construction, real estate, and law firms. Her work included audits and financial statement preparation, as well as corporate and personal taxes. She began her career at Arthur Andersen in both the tax and audit departments.

Kimberly holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Babson College and is a member of the MSCPA.

Ken Richard, CFO, Standish

Ken Richard, CFOWith a professional career spanning more than 30 years, Ken most recently served as the Chief Financial Officer for Corvias Group, where he provided leadership and oversight to the firm’s accounting and finance departments.  As CFO for both privately-held and publicly-traded real estate companies, Ken has played a principal role in strategic planning, operational improvements, negotiation, and closing of successful acquisition and disposition transactions, involving individual assets and large portfolios. Throughout his career he has been involved in raising more than $200 million of private and public equity, as well $708 million of structured debt, in support of a $1.3 billion multifamily REIT go-private transaction.

Ken earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Northeastern University. 

Allyson Scarchilli, Senior Business Development Specialist, Goodwin

Original Scarchilli, Allyson2Allyson focuses on Business Development for the Technology & Life Sciences practice area at Goodwin. Prior to joining the firm in 2013, she was at Berkshire Partners, BuyWithMe, Flybridge Capital Partners and the Neponset Valley Chamber of Commerce.

Allyson received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

David Siewers, Vice President of Finance, Selecta BioSciences, Inc.

David Siewers, VP Finance, Selecta BioSciencesDavid has 30 years of experience in financial management, financial systems design and implementation, equity and debt financing, and mergers and acquisitions. Prior to joining Selecta, he was an independent consultant for eight years providing strategic guidance and tactical implementation of accounting systems, management and regulatory reporting, internal controls, profitability, and cost analysis to an array of clients ranging from startups to mid-level companies. Previously, David spent more than 20 years in the financial services arena as CFO/SVP of Fleet Services Corporation and SVP of Putnam Investments. 

David graduated from Marietta College and received his CPA in 1978 while working at KPMG.

Gretchen Troiano, Vice President & Relationship Manager, TD Bank

Gretchen ProfileGretchen is currently a Relationship Manager at TD Bank with 16 years of experience in portfolio management and lending to large corporate, leveraged, and middle market companies. Early in her career, she was credit trained at Bank Boston and developed strong credit, analytical, and underwriting skills. Gretchen worked at Bank Boston for ten years in Large Corporate and Diversified Finance . For the past six years, she has worked at TD Bank, underwriting and managing loan portfolios for complex middle market customers. Recently, Gretchen became a Relationship Manager, focusing on developing new business in the Greater Boston market.  She has served for the past five years as an active member of the Individuals with Disabilities Sub‐Committee, one of TD Bank’s diversity initiatives.

Gretchen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management from Tulane University and an MBA from Northeastern University.

Edward L. Wallack, Principal of Sapers & Wallack

EdWallack.jpgEd specializes in creative  methods  of  designing  life  insurance and  employee benefit  programs  to  help  businesses and their key executives solve their unique problems. His areas of specialization  encompass  wealth  accumulation  and preservation  planning,  deferred compensation, and business continuity.   He joined Sapers & Wallack in 1982, familiarizing himself with the operations of the entire organization by working initially for each business unit, including retirement plans, group  benefits, executive benefits, and life insurance, before transitioning into a sales role.     Mentored by his father, Norman Wallack, and by the current Chairman Bill Sapers, Ed is one of the three principals of Sapers & Wallack. In addition to obtaining the designations of Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®) and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®), he has been awarded the Certified in Long‐Term Care designation and is a Massachusetts Licensed Insurance Adviser, a registered representative, and an investment adviser representative.  

Ed is an honors graduate of Colgate University and holds a law degree, with honors,  from Suffolk University Law School.

Jean Zick, CFO, Michel Associates, Ltd

JeanZick2Jean is a CPA with more than 20 years of finance and accounting experience in a variety of industries. After many years of working in large companies, she moved to a small company environment and hasn't looked back. Recruited to lead the accounting function at Michel Associates, Ltd. she created a senior financial role, brought financial reporting functions in house, and implemented ongoing cost analysis reporting. Jean started her career at KPMG and has held positions at Putnam Investments, BankBoston Corporation, and Lechmere.

She has a BBA from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business.
